Buddha Dawn (Medicine) recently delivered a lecture at the Annual Conference of the International Society for Heart Research – Indian Section in Chennai, India. His talk, “Mesenchymal stem cell therapy: Translation to the clinic,” in the ‘Joint Session with ISHR – East meets West’ was focused on the significant progress in clinical applications and clinical trials of Mesenchymal Stem Cell (MSC) therapy for cardiovascular diseases, while underscoring the formidable challenges toward translation in patients. Several approved MSC products in various countries for diverse pathological conditions were also discussed.
