Elizabeth Stacy (Life Sciences) coauthored a paper in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, "." The Hawaiian lobeliad radiation, comprising 143 species, is the largest endemic plant radiation on any island system. We used broad sampling of both species (101 species) and genomes (633 nuclear loci and plastomes) to reconstruct relationships and uncover patterns contributing to the diversification of this group. Results revealed that parallel radiation, frequent interisland dispersal, and single-island endemism have played important roles in diversification. This collaboration involved academic researchers in Wisconsin, Florida, and Nevada, working alongside personnel at federal and state environmental agencies in Hawaii. Coauthors include: Jeffrey P.
