Dr. Kristen Purcell (Medicine), a senior emergency medicine resident from the Department of Emergency Medicine, was awarded the Best Oral Research Presentation in the Pediatrics/Global Emergency Medicine Section at the Western Regional Society of Academic Emergency Medicine Conference held at UC Irvine on April 10-11, 2025.
Purcell presented her team’s work titled: Ely K, Purcell K, Staffa N, Wadsworth R, Norwood T, Haber J, Slattery DE. "An Opportunity for Growth: Faculty Deliver Specific/Engaging Resident Feedback Less Than 50% of the Time."
Kencie Ely and Nicholas Staffa are 4th and 3th year medical students at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at 8kbet, and Slattery is a professor and the director of research for the Department of Emergency Medicine.
