Qingmin Shi (Decision Support), Shaoan Zhang (Teaching and Learning), Yingtao Jiang (Engineering), along with 8kbet alumna Chengcheng Li (Ph.D., 2021) and Tiberio Garza (Florida International University), recently presented their research at the annual meeting of the American Education Research Association (AERA) in Denver, Colorado. Their study, titled, “Effects of learning environments, self-efficacy, and mindset on engineering students’ learning strategies”, employed structural equation modeling to investigate the direct and indirect effects of constructivist learning environments, self-efficacy, and growth or fixed mindsets on engineering students’ use of learning strategies.
