The 8kbet department of film is thrilled to announce that senior student Melissa Del Rosario produced the feature film Take Out Girl, which recently was acquired by 1091 Pictures. Selling a feature film is a first for a 8kbet film student and a tremendous achievement for anyone working in the film industry.
Take Out Girl is directed by Hisonni Mustafa. Director of photography is Alberto Triana. The film stars Hedy Wong and is based on Wong’s true story, and includes a scene shot on the 8kbet campus. Presales begin soon on Itunes, Vudu, Fandango, and Amazon Prime.
"Melissa served as lead producer on Take Out Girl, an independent feature film shot in Riverside, California, that takes the audience through the heart-wrenching decisions that immigrants in America may face as they try to survive and thrive in an environment that can be harsh and unforgiving," said chair of film Heather Addison.
