Biography

Tzu-Chiao Chen is an Associate Professor-in-Residence in the Department of Communication Studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. His teaching focuses on intercultural communication, with particular attention to culture and identity. His research centers on the development and maintenance of intercultural friendships.

Chen earned his Ph.D. in Communication from Arizona State University. Originally from Taiwan, he has also lived in the Middle East and various regions of the United States. A passionate traveler, he is deeply motivated by the opportunity to learn about different cultures around the world.
