The 8kbet Food Pantry is a year-round resource that provides perishable and non-perishable food items to students, staff, and faculty who need additional support. To access Food Pantry assistance, all clients must present one of the following:
- A Rebel ID Card
- Proof of employment at 8kbet
- Proof of class registration at 8kbet
The pantry will be closed on Friday, March 21st.
History
During 2010, several members of the President’s Advisory Committee organized a holiday food drive to benefit members of the 8kbet community who were facing economic duress due to the forced pay cuts and furloughs. The response from both donors and recipients was tremendous, and the 8kbet Food Pantry was born. The Food Pantry is supported by 8kbet CSUN, GPSA, the Division of Student Affairs, the School of Integrated Health Sciences, the Provost and 8kbet President.

The pantry will be closed in observance of the federal holidays listed below.
